This past year has been a momentous year for many reasons, one of which being the celebration of Beyer Brown’s 45 year in hospitality! The traditional gem associated with a 45th Anniversary is the Sapphire, which we think fit pretty perfectly. From industry events to project completions worth celebrating, let’s take a look back at his memorable year and the key highlights.
45 Years in Hospitality
In February we officially hit 45 years as a company, and we couldn’t be more proud to be in this industry. Since 1978, there have been quite a number of worldwide historic moments and we’ve seen our fair share of ups and downs, but we’ve always been there for the hospitality industry as a whole. We’ve been through quite a number of design changes, and here for even some design style revivals of certain eras.
All that to say, we are so grateful for all those years, and look forward to many more to come. We’ve celebrated by sharing some projects from our history, as well as a look back at what the world and hotels looked like way back in 1978.
Year of Growth
This past year we have been growing a lot as a company, and our team now totals around 65. We now have a presence in Chicago, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Atlanta, Washington D.C., South Carolina, Orlando, Miami, Dallas, Houston, Denver, Toronto, and Vancouver. Our team is excited to continue to grow and be able to bring the best possible procurement services as our industry continues to expand as well.
In terms of hotel operations across the U.S., occupancy rates remained steady while the ADR rose by 5%, according to HVS. “Group room nights continued to show substantial growth, helping fill the gap left by some pullback in the domestic leisure segment.” There is a lot of positivity and a huge potential for growth as experts have looked at what 2024 will bring.
New Projects to Our Portfolio
In 2023, our team has seen the successful closeout of dozens of projects, and celebrated some award-winning properties with the talented design and ownership teams that made those locations shine. Here are just a few of the key projects we’ve helped to bring to life this year.
Connecting with our Industry
We have had two big article series that we have released as the year has progressed. A “Get to Know Us” series where we have been highlighting our Project Directors, and a “Know Before You Hire” series that has focused on each part of the process, one segment at a time, and what is needed before you hire that team.

Memorable Events with Our Team and Yours
All throughout the year, there are so many opportunities for us to gather with fellow professionals at conferences, dinners, and events. We so enjoy going to the various conferences from ALIS to BDNY and all the events in between, it’s always a busy year for our team. You may have seen us this year at ALIS, Hunter Conference, HD Expo, HOTEC, Senior Living Design Match, Lodging Conference, BDNY, various NEWH events, and many others.
Within and between those conferences, there are special events, dinners, and get togethers that we cherish. One of our top events of the year, is our View from the Top Event during BDNY, and we couldn’t do it without our incredible sponsors joining us.
We also had our First Annual Pickleball Tournament with our friends at Brand Standard Furnishings, various local NEWH events including a bowling night, HD Expo, local get togethers with our team, and our annual Holiday Party where our entire team was actually all together for the first time. Keep an eye on our social media, especially Instagram, to see more about where our team is and what we’re up to!
All that to say, it has been an absolutely incredible year, and we are so thankful to each and every one of you for being a part of it. We can’t wait to see what next year brings!
